- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Chillicothe VA Medical Center, 17273 State Route 104, Chillicothe, OH 45601, has a requirement for a Nuclear Medicine Information System. Responses should reflect Brand Name or Equal, technically acceptable, new items only. No partial quotes. 1.Title. Nuclear Medicine Information (Biodose Single User) Software 2.Background. Mock Joint Commission survey conducted in the Spring of 2013 discovered and noted that the nuclear medicine department was maintaining radioisotope dose records in a paper format. At this time, the VA Medical Center is not permitted to keep paper logs containing sensitive patient information. As an action item request, an electronic system is to be in place to correct survey finding. 3.Scope. Hardware, software, installation, and on-site training to be provided to Chillicothe VAMC only, on a one-time basis. Technical phone support, software updates, and hardware warranty to be provided to the Chillicothe VAMC only, for a period no shorter than one calendar year. 4.Specific Tasks. Provide technical onsite support for installation of the software to the Dose Calibrator in the Nuclear Medicine Hotlab. One day onsite applications training to staff and technical support provided by phone for one calendar year after completion. Software will record and track patient doses and any required QC data that is initiated. 4.1Task 1. Provide and install Nuclear Medicine Information System (NMIS) Software and USB Barcode Reader. Installation to include 1 day of in-house training to be provided (including travel cost) to staff at agreed upon date and time organized by Radiology AO. 4.2Task 2. Provide and install NMIS Dose Calibrator Interface which shall include RS-232 Output option and 1 Dose Calibrator Cable 4.3Task 3. Provide and install NMIS HL7 Interface implementation to be provided with full support from IRM staff at the Medical Center 4.4Task 4. Provide and install NMIS Desktop Hardware which shall include all the following as a minimum requirement: -Intel Core 2 Duo system or newer -2GB Ram -250 GB Hard Drive -19" Flat Panel LCD Monitor or larger -Sound card -Speakers -DVD Drive - Windows 7 professional installed - Keyboard -Mouse -USB Flash Drive - Laser Printer -Surge Protector -1 year parts and labor warranty or longer 4.5Task 5. Provide and install Dymo Twin Turbo Label Printer and Software Driver to include 2 rolls of label paper that is compatible with printer 5.Performance Monitoring All items have been delivered and appropriate training has been conducted. Equipment is working properly. Staff will be able to verbalize and demonstrate on how to acquire data from system. 6.Other Pertinent Information or Special Considerations. This software will allow for compliance for radiation safety audits from Joint Commission or the National Health Physics Program. a.Identification of Possible Follow-on Work. Software Agreement to include Technical Support and Updates after first year may need to be maintained after initial purchase. 7.Place of Performance. Nuclear Medicine Hot Lab Chillicothe VAMC 8.Delivery Schedule. All items to be delivered and installed once PO processed.
