- The Syracuse VA Medical Center currently has a procurement request for a cabinet system to be used in storing wheelchair repair parts. This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Interested parties that can respond to this Combined Synopsis/Solicitation must provide evidence that they have a potential to meet the requirements as identified herein. Comparable items must have the same minimum characteristics of the requested items. See below for more info: Cabinets have a built in pallet base, lock, lifetime warranty. All drawers are 400# capacity. The short cabinets are 30" wide x 33" high x 27 ¾" deep. 2 drawers are 7 ¾" usable height and 1 drawer 8 ½" usable height. Each drawer has adjustable steel partitions and dividers. The taller cabinets are 30" wide x 59" high x 27 ¾" deep. 2 drawers are 7" usable height and 4 drawers are 8 ½' usable height. Each drawer has adjustable steel partitions and dividers. Overhead shelf cabinet has top stack feature, 60"W X 27 3/4"D X 33"H, Hardwood top 84" length x 30" wide x 1 ¾" deep. Color is preference is bright blue If offering an "or equal item", please provide specifications, pictures, cut sheets, etc. D.SOLICITATION Evaluation will be made based on best value determination using the following criteria: socioeconomic status, price, delivery schedule. Socioeconomic status is significantly more important when compared to price. Resulting award will be a firm-fixed price contract. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Information can be emailed to the Contracting Specialist. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253 (1) the Syracuse VA Medical Center anticipates entering into a procurement for a cabinet system to be used in storing wheelchair repair parts. (ii) The reference/solicitation number is VA528-14-Q-0176 and the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The combined synopsis/solicitation will result in a contract and corresponding purchase order. (iii) The provisions and clauses incorporated into this solicitation document are those in effect at the time of publication.
