THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE REPRESENTING A MARKET SURVEY AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, PROPOSAL ABSTRACTS, QUOTATIONS OR INVITATION FOR BIDS The Department of Veterans Affairs is conducting a MARKET RESEARCH SURVEY to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified large business sources (2) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (3) whether they are Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran-Owned, Small Business, HUB Zone 8(a), Women-Owned, or small disadvantaged business concern, (4) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition, (5) whether company provides these items on any GSA contract; and (6) current market price. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. The NAICS code is 339112 DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUIREMENT: The Buffalo VAMC is looking for businesses that can supply (1) each of the following NIDEK Brand parts to be used with existing YAG YC-1800 and the diode laser GYC-1000 NIDEK laser systems: -Manufacturer P/N 34206- Observation Scope (SL4-S6) -Manufacturer P/N 34363- Beamsplitter (SL5OP-3) POTENTIAL SOURCES SHALL PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IN THEIR RESPONSE: 1) Company name, address, phone number, primary contact(s), e-mail address, NAICS code(s), business size (i.e., small/large) and DUNS Number. 2) Interested vendors are required to submit descriptive literature of available product(s) meeting the above standards and current market pricing. Responses may be emailed to delene.kendrick@va.gov. 3) The deadline for responses to this notice is 8:00 am EDT on April 7, 2014. AT THIS TIME NO SOLICITATION EXISTS. (DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION). AN AWARD WILL NOT BE MADE AS A RESULT OF THIS RFI.
