- Description
- Bill of Materials This notice is a combined Synopsis/Solicitation, Notice of Intent for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Mountain West Medical & Laboratory, Inc. 3885 US Highway 93 N, Stevensville, MT 59870-6526 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-72 dated January 30, 2014. This firm-fixed price acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is not a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 811219 and the small business size is $19.0 million. This requirement is a follow-on action for replacement components on autoclaves, bottle washers, bottle filters, and cage washers which are needed for on-site preventative maintenance and emergency repair performed under an existing service contract. Requirement specifications are provided in the attached Bill of Materials. As this equipment ages, the Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) is experiencing significant increases in the number of components that require replacement in order to remain functional. The remaining parts and materials balance on the current service contract is not adequate to absorb the cost of the parts and materials required to keep several equipment systems functioning and still support other critical repairs and/or parts needed to maintain sterilization equipment on the RML campus. Mountain West Medical currently provides the on-site preventative maintenance and emergency repairs to this equipment under an existing service contract. The Contractor is responsible for repair and replacement of worn or unserviceable parts and components. As this service need is critical, Mountain West Medical is the one source responsible for currently providing the components and maintenance of this equipment. Obtaining additional parts and materials from Mountain West Medical prevents substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. This follow-on order with the existing contractor allows for the most effective use of resources. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition and full text versions may be accessed electronically at this address https://www.acquisition.gov/far By submission of an offer, the offeror acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee shall be registered in the SAM database ( www.sam.gov ) prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract, basic agreement, basic ordering, or blanket purchasing agreement resulting from this solicitation. In order to be considered for an award, offeror must have completed the Online Representations and Certifications located at www.sam.gov in accordance with FAR 4.1201(a).
