- Reclamation's Great Plains Regional intends to solicit quotations for the replacement of a pedestrian bridge on the Big Thompson River. The place of performance is located approximately 11 miles West of Loveland, Colorado in Larimer County on Highway 34, Big Thompson Canyon Road. The principal components of the work to be performed include designing, furnishing, and installing a single-span, pre-engineered, fabricated steel through truss pedestrian bridge complete with bridge trusses, floor beams, guard rails/safety rails, stringers, open bar safety grating decking, bearing assemblies, anchors, and provision for expansion and contraction. Pursuant to Part 12 and Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations, Reclamation intends to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) on or around April 18, 2014. The RFQ will be available for viewing through electronic commerce. Reclamation will issue RFQ Number R14PS00297 via https://www.fbo.gov, at the link provided in this notice. Interested vendors may also check https://www.fedconnect.net/FedConnect/Default.htm. Quotes will be due on or around May 16, 2014 at Reclamation's Great Plains Regional Office, 2021 4th Avenue North, Billings, Montana. All responsible small business sources may submit a quote. The estimated price range of this acquisition is between $25,000 and $100,000. Reclamation anticipates issuing the RFQ under the total small business set-aside program. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237310 and the associated Small Business Size Standard is $33.5 Million. The RFQ and any subsequent amendments and/or notices will be available to vendors on these websites after April 18, 2014. The Government anticipates award of this procurement on or around May 23, 2014. The successful contractor will be required to commence work within 10 calendar days after the date the Contractor receives the notice to proceed and complete the entire work ready for use within 120 calendar days. The time stated for completion shall include final cleanup of the premises. IPP: Payment requests for the anticipated purchase order must be submitted electronically through the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Internet Payment Platform System (IPP). If the contractor is unable to comply with the requirement to use IPP for submitting invoices for payment, the contractor must submit a waiver request in writing to the Contracting Officer with its proposal or quotation.
