- Description
- The USDA Forest Service intends to acquire by contract the design, fabrication and delivery of two packable trail bridges, one to cross Snag Creek (36 feet long) and the other to cross Boundary Creek (40 feet long). The bridge packages are to be delivered to the Forest Service Wind River Work Center. The Forest Service will be responsible for offloading the structures at the time of delivery. The project will include all required design, lumber, hardware, sills, backwalls, rail systems, curbs, decking and wearing surface. The bridges will be a "packable" design where each piece can be carred by a trail crew member or pack mule from the trail head to the bridge site. The Wind River Work Center is accessible by traveling east on HWY 14 approximately 30 miles from Washougal to Wind River Road. Travel North on Wind River Road approximately 8.6 miles and turn left on Hemlock Road. Follow Hemlock Road approximately 1.3 miles to Forest Road 417, which will be followed north approximately 0.4 miles to Old Bunker Hill Road. The delivery site is 0.6 miles up Old Bunker Hill Road at the Forest Service Road Crew shop. A solicitation for this project will be made available via this web site on or about April 11, 2014. This project is 100% set-aside for Small Business. Any responsible source submitting a quotation for this project will be considered. Quotations will be evaluated based on price, past performance, experience and other factors. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in SAM on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors may obtain information on the registration and annual confirmation requirements via the internet at http://www.sam.gov//.
