- Description
- CONUS PV Map DLA Troop Support (DLA-TS) Subsistence is conducting market research in preparation for a future solicitation for Bottled Water. Specifically, DLA-TS is looking at the feasibility of putting into place and executing a National Contract, covering peacetime and contingency requirements, for cases of 16.9oz bottled water. A vendor will be required to deliver product to DLA-TS Prime Vendors (PVs) located throughout the Continental United States (CONUS). The PV would order product from the vendor who in turn would ship it to the PV for distribution to our military customers. Additional delivery points, in times of natural disasters or other contingency events, may be a port, a CONUS consolidation point or even the PV closest to the contingency event. A map showing the locations of our Prime Vendors is attached. DLA-TS Subsistence is looking for vendors with the capability to distribute product via national or regional distribution methods. The current peacetime demand exceeds 230K cases annually. Contingency demands could add another 100K cases to this total and would include accelerated delivery times of 12-24 hours. Interested parties should reply to this request for information and include answers to the following questions: •1. How would you price the shipping and delivery of product? Would there be a national price or regional price? Specific pricing information is not required. •2. Would you utilize warehouses located throughout CONUS or would product be shipped from one consolidation point? All replies will be treated as proprietary information and will not be shared with anyone outside of the Government. Replying to this request for information in no way places anyone in a preferred position for any future award. Replies and any questions on this initiative should be directed to DLA-TS Subsistence, Nicholas McGinty at nicholas.mcginty@dla.mil. Responses are due by April 23, 2014.
