- Description
- Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition for interim bridge contract for animal care and related glasswae supply services. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention awarded a short term, sole source, noncompetitive contract to Priority One Services for Animal Care and related glassware/laboratory supply services. This contract will not exceed three months, and bridges the gap between the current contracts and future contracts that are currently being evaluated/negotiated. The cumulative effects of the Government shutdown and unusually severe weather have delayed the evaluation, negotiation, and award of the future contracts. Priority One Services is the current contract holder and one of several Offerors for the future contracts. Services conducted under this contract will be same as those of the current contracts and very similar to the services to be conducted under the future contracts. This contract is being issued under the authority of 41USC 253 (c)(2) as set forth in FAR 6.302-2. The current contracts expire on March 31, 2014. This 'bridge' contract will be awarded on or before March 31, 2014. The proposal due dates for the future contracts have lapsed and contracts are expected to be awarded within 90 days.
