Description
Sources Sought announcement and reply form. Seeking interested vendors for applying registered insecticide on designated trees. - Do not send Pricing! Market Research is being performed to determine the best method to advertise the Government's needs. Responses received will determine how the Forest Service will advertise its needs. The purpose of this contract is to secure services for applying registered insecticide on designated lodgepole pine, whitebark pine, limber pine, Englemann spruce, and/or blue spruce trees in developed recreational areas and on individual whitebark and limber pine superior and operational cone collection trees. Spraying operations will occur on some or all of the districts of the Shoshone National Forest to prevent attack by mountain pine beetle (Dendroctonus ponderosae) or spruce beetle (Dendroctonus rufipennis). Whitebark and limber pines not located within developed recreational facilities may require an ATV sprayer or similar transport mechanism to access individual trees. The insecticide to be used shall be carbaryl. The contractor shall handle and apply insecticide in accordance with product labeling. State of Wyoming requires certification for chemical application. The contractor will be required to treat drafting equipment for AIS (Aquatic Invasive Species) prior to drafting water on forest lands. The anticipated contract will be a performance based indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract consisting of a base year with four one-year options. A minimum task order will not be less than $3,000.00; maximum task order will not be greater than $125,000.00 and multiple task orders will not exceed $300,000.00. Ceiling price of the program will be $1,000,000.00. LOCATION AND DESCRIPTION- The work will be performed in developed recreational areas as well as individual designated operational cone collection trees located on the Clarks Fork, Wapiti and Greybull Ranger Districts on the North Zone and the Wind River and Washakie Ranger Districts on the South Zone of the Shoshone National Forest. The Shoshone National Forest is located in Northwest Wyoming. A general written description, schedule of items and a map of each area will be attached to the task order.
