Description

This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - The US Department of Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Minneapolis, MN, hereinafter referred to as MVAHCS located at One Veterans Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55417. The NAICS code assigned to this procurement will be 621111 with a size standard of $10 million. The VA will award a firm, fixed-price, commercial services contract. Contract use will be limited to Minneapolis VA Health Care System only. The solicitation will contain requirements for a 12-month base year with four (4) 12-month options to renew. Service will begin August 1, 2014 through July 31, 2015 for the Base Year. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about April 14, 2014 and will be issued via FedBizOpps Electronic Posting System at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS) requires contractual services to provide off-site gynecology phone consultation services to the Minneapolis VA Health Care System (MVAHCS), Minneapolis, Minnesota, for eligible beneficiaries of the MVAHCS. The contractor will be required to provide the services of board certified/board eligible Gynecologists. The Gynecologists provided must be practicing Gynecologists experienced in surgical management of the entire scope of clinical pathology involving female pelvic floor and reproductive organs. The contractor shall deliver phone consultations for gynecological care of veterans seeking such from the Minneapolis VAHCS. Phone consultation services will be provided from the contractor's place of business to the Minneapolis VAHCS. The scope of services is required by the contractor as a backup when the VA Staff Gynecologist is not available. Questions regarding this solicitation must be in writing.
