- The project consists of furnishing all plant, labor and materials for installing an asphalt surface atop an existing 17,751 foot long section of county road comprised of a long gravel section and two shorter asphalt sections. The work will include repair of existing base failures, installation of a bituminous base course, installation of a bituminous top course, installation of roadway edge treatment, and roadway striping. The project is located at County Road 520 in Mississippi County, Missouri adjacent to the Middle Crevasse section of the Birds-Point to New Madrid front line levee. This project will be advertised as a Small Business Set-Aside. For the purpose of this procurement to qualify as a small business concern, in addition to being independently owned and operated and not dominate in the field of operation in which it is bidding on Government contracts, the concern must have had average annual sales receipts for the preceding three fiscal years not exceeding $33.5 million. The supplies or services to be procured in this solicitation are classified under NAICS code 237310. This estimated cost of the proposed work is between $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. Solicitation will issue on/about 1 May2014 and bid opening date will be on/about 3 June 2014.
