Description
THE ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS HAVE BEEN ASKED: Q: SIDE PLATE, Piece #4, IAW CG DWG FL-8301-01 REV D, SHEET 5 the only tolerance we have found is on Sheet 1 +-.007 but the SHEET 5 View 2-A has listed plasma buring..... +-.007 would be difficult to obtain by plasma, are larger tolerances acceptable on the outside of this part? A: No, larger tolerances are not acceptable Q: Are the drawing dimension units in inches? A: Drawing is in inches Q: Can the government provide the electronic formats of the drawings prior to quote? A: No electronic copies available prior to quote Q: Will the contractor or the government be responsible for bending the SIDE PLATE at the yard after delivery? A: The vendor needs to provide the pieces made IAW the drawing. The government will bend them during assembly. Q: The assembly drawing of the HELICOPTER TIE-DOWN HOOK shows two SIDE PLATES which will need to be produced for this solicitation. The assembly drawing shows that only one of the SIDE PLATES have the LABEL PLATE (PC NO 22) attached. Nonetheless the SIDE PLATE drawing shows holes for the LABEL PLATE regardless of the BEND side (right or left). Therefore, once you assemble all the parts the TIE-DOWN HOOK ASSEMBLY will have holes for the LABEL PLATE on both SIDE PLATES. Is this okay? A: Yes, it's okay, as long as plates are made IAW drawing. Q: 17-4 Ph Stainless Steel can be procured in various conditions such as, Condition A, H 900, H 1075 and H 1150. Which Condition is required for the Piece 1, Piece 2, and Piece 3? A: Material that meets SAE 5604D Q: The solicitation states, " MATERIAL SHALL BE INDIVIDUALLY MARKED OR LABELED WITH THE FOLLOWING: NOMENCLATURE, COAST GUARD 13 DIGIT STOCK NU: CONSIST OF XXXX-XX-XXX-XXXX, PART/DRAWING NO etc" Which marking method is acceptable for marking Pieces 1, 2, 3 and 4 - Stamping, Indelible Ink, electro-etching? In addition; in what general area should the Pieces be marked? A: Standard Commercial Packing will be required as follows: All material shipped to the U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center must be packed for shipment in such a manner as to afford adequate protection to the item against corrosion, deterioration, and physical damage during shipment from the supply source to the USCG SFLC locations. All packages shall have the Purchase Order Number, and Vendor name clearly marked on the exterior of the package. All deliveries are to be made Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. THIS PACKING INSTRUCTION WILL SUPERSEDE THE ORIGINAL PACKING SPECIFICATIONS.
