- WPAFB Area B Map Industry Day Invitation and Instructions INDUSTRY DAY ANNOUNCEMENT HQ AFMC/A4 and HAF/A4I will be offering an Industry Day on April 24-25, 2014 at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Fairborn Ohio. The purpose of this meeting is to communicate with industry the AF Logistics IT Systems Strategy. Our AF team is focused on developing a Logistics IT Strategy that establishes standardized processes, employing shared IT services, and driving efficiencies across supply, maintenance, product support, and deployment/distribution. These critical logistics business areas provide a framework in which we execute two major IT work streams. Stabilize and modernize operations of our existing, core logistics systems and transform processes to be more effective and efficient in meeting the warfighting missions. We are employing the Service Development and Delivery Process (SDDP) to help us, as a functional community, clearly articulate the business problems that we are attempting to solve. Our first transformational initiative developed under this new strategy is Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), supporting depot operations. Our next priority for the transformation work streams targets developing the supply chain and product lifecycle management business process requirements needed to support this repair network. Many of our industry and government experts have brought technologies, tools, and methods to our attention which may assist in the way ahead. This close partnership with industry is essential for success. In addition to the capability initiatives and SDDP, we plan to discuss the AF Transformational Strategy, developments of "Digital Thread" and the AF Infrastructure Standardization. This Industry Day is restricted to United States citizens. Due to room size constraints, each company division could be restricted to 3 representatives depending on total registration size. Those contractors interested in participating should e-mail your request to Marie Lethcoe @ marie.lethcoe@us.af.mil. Please include attendee full name, company division name, contact phone, email, and driver's license number (with state of issue) to register for the event and be listed on the visitor's request list for Area B. The event will be held in the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) Kenney Hall, Bldg 642. All attendees must present a government issued photo identification on the day of the event. Participants will need to enter at Gates 1B, 19B or 22B to gain access to Area B (see the attached map). Your name will be on the Visitor Center's guest list supplied. Parking at AFIT is limited, so carpooling is highly encouraged. Thursday, April 24; Registration: 8:00 - 8:30am End: 5:00pm Friday, April 25; Registration: 8:00 - 8:30am End: 12:30pm Food and drink with the exception of bottled water are prohibited in Kenney Hall.
