The registration deadline has been extended from 07 Apr 2014 to 09 Apr 2014. _____________________________________ 1.0 Objective: SPAWAR Mobile Communications Vehicle Project - Industry Day/Request for Information (RFI) 2.0 Purpose: The Government seeks participation of experienced potential sources of supply of robust vehicle designs, vehicle systems integration, capable of manufacturing both prototype/production grade quality vehicles that would be expected by sophisticated large commercial and military customers. 3.0: Industry Forum: The General Services Administration – Office of Motor Vehicle Management’s Vehicle Purchase Division is pleased to announce an Industry Day for The Department of Defense – US Navy SPAWAR. If you have any questions as to the definition & scope of this project, please review the GSA (RFI) Request for Information documents posted on this fbo.gov web site under QMAA-HM-140013-D, posted March 24, 2014. Tuesday, 15 April 2014- General Services Administration Building – Washington, DC (9:00AM to 4:00 PM EDST), First Floor Conference Facility, 1800F ST, NW, Washington D.C. NOTE: An industry forum may be used when the Government wants to obtain price, delivery, other market information, or capabilities for planning purposes. This meeting does not obligate the Government in any way to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the vehicles discussed. GSA is requesting feedback, comments, concerns, recommendations on the proposed MCV Project.. The responses will be reviewed and discussed at Industry day (See Para. 6.0 for more details). 4.0 Registration for Industry Day: Attendance at the Industry Day will be limited due to space constraints (~85 total persons). Attendees must pre-register for this event. Only those individuals pre-registered will be permitted entry to Industry Day. Space and seating are limited, so please pre-register quickly. Future sessions may be conducted at the sole discretion of the Government. You MUST pre-register via e-mail to attend this event by no later than 6:00 PM EDST on Monday April 9, 2014. To pre-register, send the requested information via e-mail to: U.S. General Services Administration, ATTN: Heidi McFall at: Heidi.mcfall@gsa.gov AND to this mail box: ontheroad@gsa.gov. Please use “SPAWAR Mobile Communications Vehicle Attendance Request,” as the subject line of your e-mail requesting attendance. In addition, your response must provide the following information listed below. Incomplete requests to attend the Industry Day will not be processed: Company Name CAGE code (if DoD contractor) DUNS # NAICS Code(s) Business Classification Products or services your organization provides and number of years of corporate experience Point of Contact (POC) telephone and e-mail address Name(s) of Industry Day Attendee(s)* POC telephone and e-mail address *maximum of 3 attendees per CAGE code/company. Company representatives attending are intended to be subject matter experts, as opposed to sales representatives. The above registration information will be released to all attendees. Upon successful pre-registration, attendees will be sent a confirmation e-mail to include maps, directions, and entry requirements. Please note there will be no available parking at the Industry Day site. The General Services Administration Building is WMATA Metro accessible and Paid Public Parking sites are available in the area. In addition, please be advised that additional security measures have been implemented at this facility. GSA will notify registered attendees as to the requisite security protocols required to gain access to the conference facility. No samples, products or prototypes will be allowed on the facility and into the conference center. 5.0 CONFERENCE COSTS The Government will not reimburse contractors for any expense or costs related to attending this forum. 6.0 Tentative Agenda Date: Thursday, April 10, 2014 Location: General Services Administration Building – 1 st Floor Conference Facility. 1800 F Street, NW, Washington, DC. 07:30: Registration 08:00: Welcome 08:30: Keynote Address – SPAWAR & GSA Program/Project/Procurement Representatives 08:45: Speaker - Overview of SPAWAR Mobile Communication Vehicle Project, SPAWAR Representatives 09:45: Session Break 10:00: SPAWAR/GSA Panel to Address Questions from Program/Project Overview & from RFI Posting 10:30: Static Vehicle Display – Walk Around in the GSA East Court Yard – Wing 2 (Photographs NOT Permitted) 11:00: Question & Answer Panel – SPAWAR & GSA Program/Project/Procurement Representatives 11:30: Session Break for Lunch 12:15: Explanation of One to One Response Sessions 12:30: First One to One Session Begins 17:30: Final One to One Session Begins *One to One Sessions This will be an opportunity for respondents to present their comments and recommendations to Navy-SPAWAR and GSA representatives on their organizational capabilities as well as describe past or similar vehicle build projects. Participants are excused from the Conference Center at the end of their One to One Session. This Industry Day focuses on RFI #QMAA-HM-140013-D responses. Due to the substantial RFI response, the one-on-one sessions will only be guaranteed to the respondents from the RFI in the following manner: Joint RFI Responses**: 40 minutes minimum (One-on-One Session with each responding group) Vehicle Manufacturers: 20 minutes minimum (One-on-One Session with each respondent) Non-RFI Respondents: Based on Availability. **"Joint RFI Responses" is defined as three or more companies submitted via a single RFI response to RFI; QMAA-HM-1400131-D. At least 3 of the company POCs must be present to qualify AND must have already submitted a joint response to the March 24, 2014 request posted on fbo.gov. The specific schedule of breakout sessions will be released after pre-registration has ended. GSA may will provide some questions to each breakout session participant prior to the Industry Day. These sessions will NOT include any multimedia capabilities, so attendees are encouraged to prepare hardcopy documentation to support the discussion. An electronic copy of the hardcopy documentation should be provided on a CD at Industry Day. The Government will not accept any materials marked as “confidential, proprietary, secret or controlled access required.”
