Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source contract to Flight Display Systems, 6435 Shiloh Road, Alpharetta, GA. Flight Inspection Services (AJW), Flight Programs Services Group, (AJW-393) have a requirement to upgraded and replace current airborne display systems. The current airborne displays are an analog version and the flight inspection systems have been upgraded and require a digital version. This requirement is being issued as a single source contract due to the ability to obtain the digital systems at a discounted cost. The proposed contractor supplied the current airborne display systems used in the FAA ™s Flight Inspection (FI) aircraft fleet and the FAA will be able to trade the current systems in and receive the upgraded systems at a discounted price. The total estimated contract value is $428,899.00 Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA ™s decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. A full and open competition is not available for this procurement. If your firm does not agree with the single source determination, please provide evidence of your firm's capabilities and experience in providing the above and the FAA will evaluate this accordingly. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
