- Library of Congress REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) PURSUANT TO FAR 15.201(e) The Library of Congress, an agency of the Legislative Branch of the Federal Government, is the world's largest and most comprehensive library, maintaining a collection of more than 124 million items - many of them unique and irreplaceable - in more than 450 languages. It directly serves not only the Congress, but also the entire nation. The Library of Congress has recently defined high level requirements in support of expanding the security services provided to the Library by the Chief Information Security Officer. The objectives of these requirements are to arrive at a solution that: - Provides expert IT Security Architecture and Engineering services. - Provides a full range of technical testing service. - Provides Certification and Accreditation / Security Assessment and Authorization services. - Provides administrative support for a full suite of Enterprise IT Security tools. - Provides expert guidance for Continuous Monitoring planning, implementation, operations, and improvement. - Provide desktop application security assessments. - Provide incident lifecycle management services - Provides guidance on a future roadmap for Enterprise IT solutions This announcement is a request for INFORMATION ONLY and does not obligate the Library of Congress in any way. This is not a request for proposal and the Library of Congress will not pay for any information submitted or for any expenses associated with providing information. Any information submitted by respondents to this RFI is strictly voluntary. Material submitted will be deemed proprietary to the extent permitted by applicable laws and regulations if so marked by the respondent Disclaimer This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not respondents to a contract solicitation and cannot be accepted by the government to form a binding contract. Respondents are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. Responses to this RFI will not be returned. Respondents will not be notified of the result of the review.
