- This serves as a notice that Fort Drum, NY is conducting oral quotes for Replace Flooring in Command Suite P-10000. The posting will close 23 April 2014 at 9:00am EST. The requirements are further down in this posting along with where to submit a quote. This procurement is one hundred percent set-aside for Small Business concerns. As prescribed in DFARS 252.204-7004, interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) under the NAICS 238330. Representations and certifications must also be on record at the time of quote. These registrations can be done through the System for Award Management (SAM) for free at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. The responding Contractor shall include their DUNS number and CAGE code with the quote in order to be considered. Questions shall be submitted in writing via email to; timothy.hall9@us.army.mil or delivered, mailed to, Mission & Installation Contracting Command, 45 West Street, Fort Drum, NY 13602-5220. The successful Contractor shall provide all resources, except Government Furnished Property (GFP), necessary to provide all resources necessary for Replace Flooring in Command Suite P-10000 on Fort Drum, NY. Work shall be performed in strict accordance with the specific tasks indicated in this synopsis, and subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. The contract type shall be quote mark Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order quote mark. A site visit will be conducted on 15 April at 1000AM EST at Building T-46 2nd Floor Conference Room. We will leave promptly at 1000AM to visit site. Specific Tasks to be preformed: 5.1. GENERAL: Contractor shall provide all resources, except Government Furnished Property (GFP), necessary to install carpet in the Command Group and Garrison Command Suite, P-10000, Fort Drum, New York In Accordance With (IAW) the Performance Work Statement (PWS), and subject to the terms and conditions of the contract. 5.1.1. The Government may at its discretion perform any test or inspection it deems necessary to ensure the carpet is being properly installed. 5.1.2. The Contractor shall repair any damage to the carpet or the building associated with the installation of the carpet caused at no additional cost to the Government. All costs associated with this damage shall be borne by the Contractor. At its discretion, the Government may have representatives present to witness any or all such installation. The work to be performed will include but is not limited to the following items as specified in contract documents, specifications and drawings: 5.1.2.1. The Contractor shall remove all existing carpet, baseboards, and glue residue from the specified areas of work. 5.1.2.2. The Contractor shall patch any imperfections in the slab prior to installation of new carpet. 5.1.2.3. The Contractor shall install new Shaw carpet, New Essentials style, 51205 Windsor Haze. 5.1.2.4. The Contractor shall install new 4 quote mark Johnsonite cove base, color: Taupe 60. 5.1.2.5. The contractor shall install new 32 ounce commercial grade synthetic felt padding. 5.1.2.6. The Contractor shall install new transition strips as needed. 5.1.2.7. The work will performed in four sections to minimize office disruptions. Work will not commence in a new section until the previous section has been inspected and accepted for beneficial occupancy. Upon award of the contract, the contractor will develop a progress schedule and submit to the DPW representative for approval. 5.1.2.8. The Contractor shall verify all measurements as these are estimated quantities. 5.1.2.9. The Contractor shall sign in at the Military Police (MP) desk to gain access to the building. The government will provide an escort. Cell phones are not allowed in the facility. 5.1.3. The Government will move all furniture from the offices. 5.1.4. The work will be performed at night and on weekends. 5.1.5. The Contractor shall repair any damage to the building created by the work being done. 5.1.6. The Contractor shall coordinate all work to be done on Bldg. P-10000, with the business section, the POC (the POC will be provided at time of award), Public Works Business Office, Building T-4000 at least one week prior to commencing work. 5.1.7. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing a complete and usable facility.
