Description
This project is for the repair of site drainage conditions at U.S. Coast Guard Station Montauk. It includes removing approximately 190 lf of concrete sidewalk and approximately 1600 sf of asphalt pavement. The sidewalk and asphalt pavement will be replaced at the proper elevations to facilitate surface drainage. Adjacent areas to the parking lot and concrete sidewalks require re-grading (approximately 3500 sf) and a clean stone area drain (approximately 240 sf) will be installed under a layer of topsoil to facilitate proper surface drainage. Incidental work includes providing installed railing system (approximately 24 lf) for porch and new wood posts for porch overhang supports. The anticipated construction time is 60 days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost range of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. A bid bond will be required. A payment bond will be required after award if. The applicable NAICS code is 238190, with a size standard of $14.0 Million. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 22 April 2014. The tentative date set for Receipt of Quotations is 20 May at 4:00 p.m. This acquisition is issued pursuant to FAR Part 13. Pursuant to FAR Part 26 this is a local area preference set-aside, and the local area preference encompasses counties in NY and CT as follows: NY - Suffolk and Nassau counties; CT - Fairfield, Middlesex, New Haven, and New London. All bidders must reside in OR PRIMARILY DO BUSINESS in the set-aside area. Pursuant to FAR Part 19.5 is 100% set-aside for Small Business concerns.
