- The work performed under this contract shall consist of furnishing all labor, tools, parts, materials, facilities and transportation necessary to complete the HVAC and related electrical work for the Command Post and Control Tower. The Control Tower is approximately 3600 square feet, six floors, and consists of concrete and steel construction. This portion of the work will consist of new air handlers, some piping, new air handler units, and will utilize existing chillers. The Command Post is on the first floor of a two story facility with the units located on the roof. This facility is structural concrete with interior metal stud construction and the work area for this portion is approximately 6200 square feet. Existing direct expansion units will be removed and replaced with an air cooled heat pump chiller system. New piping, air handlers, and chillers will be required. The Command Post will be done in phases in order to manage displacement of occupants. The Control Tower will be occupied during construction and will require temporary HVAC. Both locations require additional security paperwork from the awarded contractor and subcontractors. This acquisition will be awarded to a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Small Business Concern, utilizing Performance Price Trade-off (PPT) Procedures. Interested responsible HUBZone sources may submit a proposal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 238220. The size standard is $14.0 Million. Magnitude of proposed construction is between $500,000 and 1,000,000. The Solicitation Package, Specifications, and Drawings (if applicable), will tentatively be posted on the FedBizOpps Website: http://www.fbo.gov on/or around 23 April 14 with a tentative closing date of 26 May 14. The contract performance period will be 120 days from the Notice to Proceed. All Contractors wishing to do business with the Government are required to register in the System for Award Management (SAM) DOD Central Contractor Registry (CCR) Database prior to any subsequent award. SAM Registration may be accomplished online at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/. Contractors are further advised that failure to register in SAM/CCR Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number. Recommend registering immediately in SAM in order to be eligible for timely award. The single source of entry for all documentation pertaining to this acquisition will be http://www.fbo.gov. All interested parties are responsible for checking this website to ensure they have the most current information (i.e., issued Amendments, Changes to the Statement of Work, etc).
