Description

THIS IS A TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET-ASIDE. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Fargo Health Care System, Fargo, North Dakota intends to issue an Invitation For Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to provide all labor, material, equipment, and supervision in accordance with the plans and specifications to include, but not be limited to providing all the materials, equipment, etc. necessary to completely prepare the site for Fargo VA Health Care System project 437-13-110, Replace Nurse Call System in accordance with this Scope of Work, the contract documents, all applicable federal, state and local codes, NEC and NFPA. The construction work shall account for phasing of the work as indicated on the plans so that he VA is minimally impacted in terms of services provided to our customers and nurse call system downtime. Work shall include, but shall not be limited to, installing a new nurse call system, testing, commissioning and training the VA staff. Once that work is complete, the old existing nurse call system shall be removed as required by the contract documents. Electrical work shall include, but shall not be limited to, installing conduit, boxes, pulling cables and other items. Work shall involve patching to match all damaged architectural finishes to include walls, floors and ceilings at a minimum. Work is to be completed within 365 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Specifications and Drawings for submitting a bid will be available at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All respondents must be registered in the SAMs database (http://www.sam.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://orca.bpn.gov), along with Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/). Bidders must be registered in VetBiz at (http://www.vetbiz.gov/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through this web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the web site to be entered on the Interested Vendors List and/or to obtain copies of the Interested Vendors List. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to angelique.mabley@va.gov. Issue Date is tentatively scheduled for April 23, 2014. The Pre-bid meeting/Site-visit will be announced upon Solicitation issuance. Bid Opening Date is tentatively scheduled for May 22, 2014, at 10:00 A.M. (CST-local time), on 3rd Floor, Room 310 at West Park, 5435 NW 100th Street, Johnston, IA 50131 but exact date may vary depending on issuance of the solicitation. The applicable NAICS Code is 238210, with the applicable size standard being $14 million. Magnitude is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
