- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) is seeking up to three licensed professionals with specialities in the field Internal Medicine, Family or General Practice, Primary Care, Osteopathy, Physiatry, and Pediatrics. These services involve the independent review of disability claims. Under a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA), contractors will assess and document impairment severity in SSA disability claims based on the listings of impairments in SSA?s Program Operations Manual System (POMS) section DI 34000.000. The contractors perform most case processing at a computer terminal at an SSA facility. Medical records and case folder documentation is viewed, processed, and stored electronically. Interaction with disability reviewers, adjudicators, medical providers, and other staff is required; however, there is no contact with the claimant nor is there clinical responsibility. The ordering periods are as follows: Ordering Period-May 1, 2014-Mar 31, 2015 Ordering Period 2- Apr 1, 2015-Mar 31, 2016 Ordering Period 3- Apr 1, 2016-Mar 31, 2017 Ordering Period 4- Apr 1, 2017-Mar 31, 2018 Ordering Period 5- Apr 1, 2018-Mar 31, 2019
