- Description
- This contract action was accomplished using other than competitive procedures because this is a task/delivery order where an exception to fair opportunity requirements was approved due to only one source being available (FAR 8.405-6(b)(1) or 16.505(b)(2)(ii)). The 130th Airlift Wing Base Contracting Office intends to make an award to Monaco Enterprises, Inc., 14820 E. Sprague Ave, Spokane, WA 99216-2191. Market research was performed and information gathered in determining this company to be the only source for this requirement. In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, the proposed contract action is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. This notice of intent to award is not a request for competitive proposals; however responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is soley within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The justification for the sole source requirement is as follows: Monaco Enterprises, Inc. is the only company that can provide the upgrade for this system. Responses to this notice must be receive via email NLT 15 April 2014, 2:00PM Eastern Standard Time. Reference contract W912L8-14-F-0021.
