- QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS 1) Do we need a spill containment system added ot the quote? --No 2) What is this system being used to back-up, because with (55) Jars your nominal voltage is only 110V? Is it Telecommunications which is 24V or 48V or possibly UPS which can be 120V, 240V, 360V and even 480V? -- What we use them for is FOUO. The batteries just need to provided and installed. 3) The KCT-660 comes in Transparent Thermoplastic called (SAN) or Transparent Flame-Retardant Polycarbonate, please advise which one you want? -- Transparent Thermoplastic 4) Can picture be taken? What is the current rack configuration? -- No pictures will be taken. We have a 3-tier stepped rack. Each step will hold up to 20 batteries. Solicitation number F6THCC4087A003 is hereby issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-72, 30 January 2014 and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) change notice 20140331. It is the contractor's responsibility to become familiar with applicable clauses and provisions.. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business concerns and is under North American Industry Classification Standards (NAICS) code 335911 with the number of employees not to exceed 500. Description of Requirement: CLIN 0001: Contractor will supply: 1. Provide fifty-five (55) 2.23 volt, 8 Hr. Cap, 660 AH, Vented Cell, Lead-Acid Batteries. (C&D Technologies KCT-660 or Equal) 2. Remove & dispose of fifty-eight (58) C&D Technologies KCT-660 lead-acid batteries. 3. Batteries to be removed already have a NDSL Cellwatch battery monitoring system attached. Removed batteries are to be disposed of by contractor, and then attach newly supplied batteries to system. 4. Install the new batteries in the existing battery rack, make all necessary connections, and attach existing Cellwatch system. If quoting other than C&D Technologies KCT-660 battery, contractor will provide suitable new battery rack in quote. 5. Contractor will supply all parts and labor for a complete installation.
