- The Air Force is seeking sources for a potential 100 percent set-aside for Small Business, HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), and Economically Disadvantaged Woman Owned Small Business (EDWOSB). IF ADEQUATE RESPONSES ARE NOT RECEIVED, THE ACQUISTION MAY BE SOLICITED ON AN UNRESTRICTED BASIS. This is a sources sought for planning purposes only. Project is to Repair Fire Code Deficiencies at National Museum United States Air Force (NMUSAF). The scope of this project is to provide a fully addressable Fire Alarm System (FAS), with voice evacuation and mass notification system for the National Museum United States Air Force (NMUSAF). The new FAS shall comply with UFC 4-021-01, and have provisions for connections to the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) "Giant Voice System." The new FAS shall be phased to allow for the installation, operation, and testing, prior to the demolition of the existing FAS. The scope of this project requires the contractor to adhere to strict, well-coordinated schedules, and a need to maintain meticulously kept work sites, material storage, and staging areas. Also, the contractor is required to incorporate efficient delivery routes throughout the complete project site and interior areas to prevent impacts to occupants and project delays. The Air Force intends to award a contract with a 150 day period of performance. The estimated magnitude of the entire contract is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. NAICS Code: 238210 Size Standard: $14.0 MIL. Prime contractors who are Small Business, HUBZone, SDVOSB, or EDWOSB, and who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation are highly encouraged to submit the following by 1:00 p.m. EST on 24 April 2014: Responses should include the following: (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (2) Date of HUBZone certification; and/or (3) Documentation of SDVOSB status; and/or (4) EDWOSB must provide information IAW Federal Acquisition Regulation 19.1503; and (5) Listing of capabilities and/or experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, points of contact with their phone numbers, and an explanation of the relevancy of the project (limit to 5 single-sided pages); (6) Documentation from surety or their agent of your capability to be bonded for bid, performance and payment bonds for this project; (7) If you are considering a joint venture that has not been formalized, you will need to specify the firm(s) you intend to partner with and how you plan to officially form the joint venture. A decision on whether this will be pursued as a set-aside or an unrestricted basis will be posted as a modification in Federal Business Opportunities. Be advised that all correspondence sent via e-mail shall contain a subject line that reads, "PROJECT ZHTV 10-0009". If sending attachments by e-mail, ensure only.pdf,.doc, or.xls documents are sent.
