- This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for informational purposes only. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District, has a requirement for the above subject Project. This announcement constitutes a Sources Sought Synopsis (market survey). This is NOT a Request for Quote (RFQ). This announcement is for planning purposes only, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. The purpose of this Sources Sought synopsis is to determine interest and capability of potential qualified Small Business, Certified 8(a) Small Business, HUBZone Small Business, Woman-Owned Small Business firm and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business firms relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) Petroleum and Petroleum Products Merchant Wholesalers (except Bulk Stations and Terminals) with a Small Business Size Standard of 100 employees. To make an appropriate acquisition decision for the above project, the Government will use responses to this sources sought synopsis. The order of magnitude for this effort is estimated between $25,000.00 and $150,000.00. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Cooper River Rediversion Project (CRRRP) which operates three (3) hydroelectric generators which use turbine oil for their lubrication systems as well as governor systems The Governments requirement is for turbine oil one time supply in the quantity of 2000 gallons bulk delivery (not drums) and shall be Shell R&O 68 or approved equal. The supplied turbine oil will be mixed with existing in service oil. Turbine oil shall comply with the Section of this specification labeled Specification of Turbine Oil. The potential Contractor shall submit an MSDS stating turbine oil properties as well as a one (1) gallon sample of the proposed turbine oil for testing by the Government. All testing will be at the expense of the Government. See attached Scope of Work for complete project information. REQUIRED INFORMATION Qualified Small Businesses additionally submit the following information via attached market research questionnaires: 1. Company name, address, phone number, point of contact. 2. Company's CAGE Code and DUNS Number to verify your business status as a qualified Small Business (SB), Certified 8(a),Historically Underutilized Business Zone Businesses (HUBZone), Small Disadvantaged Business, (SDB), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB). Contractors must be registered in Systems for Award Management (SAM) at the time of contract award. Please see www.sam.gov for additional registration information. 3. Offeror's Joint Venture information if applicable - existing and potential 4. Indicate the primary nature of your business. 5. Email responses are required. The Capabilities Statement for this sources sought is not expected to be a Request for Quote, nor does it restrict the Government to an ultimate acquisition approach, but rather short statements regarding the company's ability to demonstrate existing-or-developed expertise and experience in relation to the areas specified herein. Any commercial brochures or currently existing marketing material may also be submitted with the Capabilities statement. Please ensure that all information is submitted as one (1) document. This sources sought announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is neither to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. TOTAL SUBMISSION SHALL NOT EXCEED TEN (10) PAGES. Firms responding to this sources sought announcement, who fail to provide ALL of the required information requested, will not be used to assist the Government in the acquisition decision, which is the intent of this sources sought announcement.
