Princeton University Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL), operated by Princeton University, a U.S. Department of Energy Prime Contractor, solicits proposals from firms interested in manufacturing multiple Power Transformers, including spare parts and related services in accordance with the Specification #US ITER 1040100-PD0057-R01, Revision 1, dated February 6, 2014. PPPL requests that interested parties review the attached Request for Proposal (RFP) package and submit written proposals by 2:00 PM (Princeton Local Time), Tuesday, May 20, 2014. The equipment will be utilized by the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor (ITER) in France. Shipping from the factory to the ITER site, foundations, external wiring and cabling, assembly, erection and commissioning are not included in the scope of this effort. Since the components will be utilized outside the U.S., this procurement is excluded from the Buy American Act regulations. No preference will be given to domestic offerors during price evaluation and no Buy American Certificate will be required for submission. A PRE-PROPOSAL TELECONFERENCE will be convened at 10:00 AM (GMT-5:00) WEDNESDAY, April 16, 201 4. Participants should contact the RFP Coordinator Natalya Gnyp at ngnyp@pppl.gov to receive log-in information. The agenda includes an introduction, a briefing on the proposed procurement and a question and answer period. Participation in the teleconference is not a pre-requisite for proposal submission but is strongly encouraged.
