Description

This is an INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE NOTICE only. The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 16, intends to issue a sole-source purchase order to Philips Healthcare, 22100 Bothell Everett Highway, Bothell, WA 98041. This sole-source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) for the repair of the Philips Model IU-22 Diagnostic Ultrasound System for the radiology Service at Overton Brooks VA Medical center.. Services will be from 04/16/2014 - 05/07/2014 under NAICS 541330. This procurement involves the IU-22 Diagnostic Ultrasound System that operates IAW specifications of the Original equipment Manufacturer (OEM). All personnel completing tasks will have factory certified training on the equipment that they will service. Vendor will provide training documentation when requested by Biomedical Engineering. All on-site work should be completed between the hours of 8am and 5pm CST, Monday through Friday excluding holidays unless otherwise listed in the tasks section.A service ticket will be provided to Biomedical Engineering Section once service is completed. All work will be completed in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) specifications and recommended procedures.All configurations will be conducted using OEM software as intended by the equipment design. All defective equipment will be provided to Biomedical Engineering for secure or routine disposal. The IU-22 requires software updates that are proprietary to Philips Healthcare. The service will ensure replacement hardware and software is configures properly and fully functional. This notice is neither a request for quotes nor a solicitation of offers; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Interested parties must respond to this notice no later than 8:00 am on April 11, 2014 to tina.harris3@va.gov. Responding as an interested party under the www.fbo.gov website doesn't constitute convincing evidence of capabilities. All interested parties are reminded to be registered with Central Contractor Registration (CCR) now SAM at in order to be eligible for award of Government contracts. No telephone calls will be accepted.
