- Description
- The government intends to award an Indefinite Quantity Long Term Contract with a 3-year base plus two (2) one year options. The contract for the supplies listed below will provide supply support to the Supply Chain Integrator (SCI) designated in the contract resulting from solicitation SPM7LX-14-R-0029 pursuant to FAR Part 51, and may also provide direct supply support to the Government in the form of DLA stock. The direct support to the government is for customers both overseas and in the United States including Alaska and Hawaii, and our possessions. The items required are classified under FSC 6140 (Batteries, Rechargeable). The method used to place orders under this contract will be Delivery Orders placed by Supply Chain Integrator (SCI). The SCI will issue delivery orders with the awardee for the supplies cited in Section B. The orders may be issued using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) or via Email. Manual orders may also be issued by the individual SCI when deemed necessary. The solicitation will be a Partial Small Business Set-Aside (50%). The required items are classified under NAICS 335911 (500 employees). Soliciation will be issued indicating both a Set-Aside and Non-Set-Aside Portion. For the Non-Set-Aside portion, offerors are required to submit proposed firm fixed prices only for the Non-Set-aside portion (50%). The solicitation for the supplies will include a 100% option, which may be exercised at time of award should the set-aside portion fail. The set-aside portion (the remaining 50%) is then offered to the lowest responsive small business concern who submitted an offer on the solicitation. Current QPL sources for all five NSNs are: ENERSYS ENERGY PRODUCTS INC. ( 0WY95) and CONCORDE BATTERY CORPORATION (63017). All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered. It is the responsibility of the offeror to obtain the additional data that is necessary to manufacture the item and provide this evidence to the Government. The required delivery is listed in the table below in days. FOB destination is required. Inspection/Acceptance will be at source. CLIN 0005 is a Navy Critical Safety Item (CSI). One or more of the items under this acquistion may be subject to an Agreement of Government Procurement approved and implemented in the United States by the Trade Agreement Act of 1979. All offers shall be in the English language and in US dollars. Items will not be solicited utilizing FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance, and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
