Description

SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS (not a Solicitation) The Department of Veterans Affairs, VHA, NCO19 Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center is seeking potential sources that are capable of providing one time level III repair for Stryker Neptune (vacuum motor seized) All interested firms shall submit a response demonstrating their capabilities to provide one time level III repair for Stryker Neptune (vacuum motor seized). As stipulated in FAR 15.201, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation. The decision to solicit for a contract shall be solely with the Government discretion. Firms responding should indicate whether they are, or are not, a small business, a socially and economically disadvantaged business, veteran owned small business/service disabled veteran owned small business or a woman owned business. The general definition of a small business is one that is independently owned and operated, is not dominated in the field of operation in which it is proposing on Veterans Administration contracts and with its affiliate. NAICS code to be used for this acquisition is 811219 other electronic and precision equipment repair and maintenance ($19.0M). The Government reserves the right to consider a small business set-aside based upon responses hereto for any subsequent acquisition. Respondents are further requested to indicate their status as a foreign-owned/foreign-controlled firm and any contemplated use of foreign national employees on this effort. Any information submitted by respondents to this sources sought synopsis is voluntary. This sources sought notice is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, nor will the Government reimburse any costs associated with the submission of information in response to this notice. Respondents will not individually be notified of the results of any Government assessments. The Government's evaluation of the capability statements received will factor into whether any forthcoming solicitation will be conducted as a full and open competition or as a set-aside for small businesses, or any particular small business designation (e.g. SDVOSB, HUB Zone, 8(a), WOSB, VOSB, etc). Capabilities packages: all interested firms shall submit a capabilities package that explicitly demonstrates company capabilities-indicating and copies of certificates of Stryker Training for Neptune 2 Ultra. One time repair of a Stryker Neptune Ultra ser# 0823205983 1.0The VA Medical Center 2121 North Ave, Grand Junction CO, 81501 has need of a one-time repair service for one each Stryker Neptune Ultra ser# 0823205983. Repair shall be performed in accordance with terms, conditions, in this statement of work and be incompliance with all manufacturer technical specifications and maintain the original equipment warranty. The contractor accepts responsibility for the Stryker Neptune Ultra ser# 0823205983 for repair. Upon award, the contractor assumes full responsibility for the terms and conditions of the contract. Equipment is located at the VA Medical Center, 2121 North Ave, Grand Junction CO, 81501 2.0CONTRACTOR QUALIFICATIONS 2.1The successful offeror shall have an established business, with an office and full time staff. The staff shall include a fully qualified Field Service Engineer and fully qualified alternate Field Service Engineer. Past Performance of preventive maintenance checks, services and inspections for the Stryker Neptune Ultra ser# 0823205983 is mandatory. 2.2"Fully Qualified" is based on successful completion of factory training and experience in the field. For training, the FSE shall have successfully completed a formalized training program for the Stryker Neptune 2 Ultra ser# 0823205983 and have written documentation supporting all training and experience. For field experience, the FSE(s) shall have a minimum of two years experience (with the exception of equipment on the market less than two years) with respect to scheduled and unscheduled preventive and remedial maintenance. 2.3The FSEs shall be authorized by the contractor to perform the maintenance services. All work shall be performed by fully qualified and competent FSEs. The contractor shall provide copies of all factory certificates for FSEs showing types of equipment and dates of training for Stryker Neptune Ultra ser# 0823205983.
