Description
21 May 2014 - Air Combat Command "Advanced Training" Innovation Summit **This is a Request for Information (RFI) in accordance with FAR 15.201 (b). THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This is NOT a request for contractual offers. RFIs are used to gather information from industry without any promise of a current or future contract or requirement. Information provided cannot be used to create a binding contract. Respondents to the RFI will not be reimbursed for the information provided to HQ ACC.** General Hostage, the Commander of Air Combat Command and Brigadier General Zobrist, the Director of Plans, Programs, and Requirements, will host the ACC "Advanced Training" Innovation Summit on 21 May 2014 at Quesada Hall, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. The Summit provides the opportunity for General Hostage and key Air Force leaders to discuss the vision, challenges, and way ahead for operational training. These challenges include determining and incorporating the correct balance of realistic live, virtual, constructive, and distributed training capabilities necessary to meet and maintain required readiness levels. With these insights, General Hostage hopes participants will search within their organizations for innovative ideas, emerging technologies, and creative approaches to address the challenges. The summit will consist of an AM, unclassified and a PM, classified portion. NOTE: Pre-registration is required (info below). Final registration for the event will be conducted on 20 May 2014, between 12:00-4:00 PM at Quesada Hall on Joint Base Langley-Eustis and between 5:00-7:00 PM at the Langley Club. The Draft Agenda for 21 May event is below: 8:00-12:00 - Unclassified presentations on Air Combat Command's vision for Operational Training; Air Education and Training Command's training vision; Agile Combat Support Program Executive Office overview on support challenges; and a Panel Discussion on Evolving the Live, Virtual, Constructive Enterprise. 1:00-5:15 PM - (SECRET security clearance required) - Classified presentations on Air Force Warfare Center high-end testing, tactics and training; F-35 Joint program; and a Panel Discussion on Adapting Training to Threats. NOTE: Seating will be limited. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to DUNS registered companies. The maximum number of attendees per company will be determined by company size. Companies will be able to adjust their specific attendees within the max number allowed. PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED - Attendees must preregister for the Innovation Summit to ensure access to Langley Air Force Base and conference attendance. Please fill out the preregistration form at: https://einvitations.afit.edu/inv/anim.cfm?i=186788&k=0369440E735F NLT Monday 12 May. There is no registration fee for this event. Participants must indicate if they plan to attend the AM unclassified session only or BOTH the AM and PM sessions. The PM session requires the possession of a current SECRET security clearance. For those attending the classified briefings, your security office must send a request for each attendee through JPAS to SMO Code LE1CFNQY6 NLT 14 May. After registering, you will receive an electronic welcome package with information about the event and the local area. Additional details regarding the Summit, including the final agenda and base access process, will be forwarded as they become available. Dress for the event is business casual for civilians or Uniform of the Day (military). For those that cannot attend, slides will be posted to FBO (Unclass) or DTIC SIPR site (Classified material) as soon as possible following the event.
