Description

DESCRIPTION: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with COMSOL, Inc., 1 New England Executive Park Suite 350, Burlington, MA, 01803, under the authority of FAR 13.106-l(b)(l), soliciting from a single source, to Renew the COMSOL Software Package Licenses and Maintenance Support, for a period of one year. COMSOL is the original manufacturer of the software, and is the only company that can provide maintenance for its software. Maintenance includes updates and software support. COMSOL is the only authorized provider of this service. Therefore this requirement must be a sole source requirement. Written responses to this Notice of Intent shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. A determination by the Government whether to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
