Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. 1.SCOPE: The purpose of this contract is to provide a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to employees of the St. Paul District, U.S Army Corps of Engineers and their family members. For this purpose, quote mark family member quote mark is defined as an employee's spouse or domestic partner; children, including adopted children and the children of the employee's domestic partner; and parents of the employee or the employee's spouse or domestic partner who reside in the same household as the employee. The St. Paul District is an entity of the Federal Government employing approximately 600 civilian employees in a variety of quote mark blue collar quote mark and quote mark white collar quote mark occupations. Approximately half of these employees are located in downtown St. Paul, MN. About 50 employees are located elsewhere in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metropolitan Area. The remainder of the Corps' employees are located at field sites in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and North Dakota. The objective of the EAP is to enhance employee productivity, positive job performance, and retention by providing professional counseling services to assist employees in addressing personal concerns.
