The existing York Shipley boiler is a dry back boiler; why a 3-pass wet back boiler has been required? Answer: The requirement to use a wet-back boiler is due to: an increase in boiler thermal efficiency; does not have refractory that can fail; and because it does not need rear access, in order to fit in the limited space. Question 2. Would we be open to a non wetback boiler? Answer: The offeror's must prove that the offered boiler can fit the space and include the service clearance. Question 3.
