Description
Solicitation Number: W81XWH-14-T-0130 MODIFICATION TO REMOVE SET ASIDE; SOLICITATION IS NOW UNRESTRICTED. Synopsis: The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a requirement in support of the US Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Disease (USAMRIID) for a BioFlo 310 Bioprocessor in accordance with the specifications listed in the Minimum Essential Criteria to be provided in the solicitation. This procurement is UNRESTRICTED, Brand name or Equal. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c); therefore hardcopies will not be provided. Proposals submitted must be in electronic format as stated in the solicitation. All responses to this solicitation must be submitted in digitized/electronic format. Paper copy responses will not be accepted. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-72. This requirement will be for Firm Fixed Price purchase order. Minimum Essential Specifications: Large (12-15 quote mark ) color touchscreen operator interface that allows with access to multiple screens including: main Screen; synoptic, sterilization, calibration, cascade control, pump assignment and setup screens. View up to 10 loops simultaneously on the primary main screen. Can control up to 4 vessel assemblies with one controller and touchscreen.Can control in both fermentation and cell culture modes. Trend Graph Screen should be able to track, display and export data for up to eight process variables simultaneously with a total of 144 hours of memory. Can accept both fermentation and cell culture Vessel assemblies Accommodate different size vessel assemblies of: 2.5 L, 5.0 L, 7.5 L and 14.0 L. Available fermentation vessels should include built-in stainless steel heat exchanger with hemispherical base to provide for rapid temperature changes for heat inductions or removal of heat in exothermic cultures and to allow the vessel to quickly cool down after autoclaving. Cell Culture vessels: Capabilities for at least 5 different Impeller systems: Spin filter, Patented Cell Lift, Patented Basket /Packed Bed, Pitched Blade and Marine Blade. Controller saves up to 10 recipes for repeat usage. Controller controls up to 32 process loops. Controller that can customize PI values for all process parameters. Seven analog inputs & seven outputs for integrating external devices that once connected to the unit, will allow the collected information will be viewed and controlled via the touch screen display. Thermal Mass Flow Controller and 4 gas mixer, via 4 solenoid valves, is standard with an option for up to a total of 4 Thermal Mass Flow Controllers. Overlay with 1 Thermal Mass Flow Controller and gas mixer. Ability to control up to 4 gases automatically via gas mixer. Ability to add: Redox probe, second DO, pH and level probes. 3 built-in pumps, 2 -12 RPM and one 100 RPM with pump totalizer on control screen for all three pumps with ability to add additional pumps via analog Input/Outputs.All connections via stainless steel quick connects at both the console and vessel. So there are no glass hose barbs to break and customer can quickly connect and disconnect hoses. Temperature range of 5 degrees above coolant temperature to 80 degrees in 0.1 degree increments via PID control. Powerful fermentation agitation motor that has a range of 50-1,200 RPM. Cell culture magnetic drive motor with a range of 25-500 RPM via PID control. 2 USB Ports for importation of firmware and software upgrades. Also ability to export trend data via USB port. Compatibility with New Brunswick Biocommand Batch Control, Bioprocessing Software SCADA package. USAMRIID has already purchased and is currently using this software.
