Description

J&A for six month extension of Ambit contract FEMA has an urgent and compelling need to enter into a bridge contract to extend the current services with the incumbent contractor to prevent the Government from losing the ability to provision and manage critical communication services which without the bridge would be lost during disaster and non-disaster situations. The acquisition for services on an other than a full and open competitive basis is to satisfy a short-term requirement to ensure continuity of services pending the decision to be made on whether any or all of these activities will be insourced for performance by federal employees, and, if so, to recruit employees. If some of the work will be contracted out, this bridge contract will allow FEMA to draft a statement of work and obtain a governmental estimate for the services to be procured by contract, to conduct a competitive acquisition, and to allow for a transition period. The government seeks to acquire on an other than full and open competitive basis, a six-month bridge contract, with two three-month options to the incumbent contractor below: Ambit Group, LLC, 703-689-0881 1902 Campus Commons Drive Direct Suite 300 Reston, VA, 20191. FEMA currently has Task Order HSFEHQ-08-F-1351 with the Ambit Group under the General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Schedule (FSS), which expires March 16, 2014.
