- This Solicitation Notice is to announce the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOl), U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for very broadband borehole seismometer in accordance with the attached solicitation. The solicitation number is G13PS00239 and is being issued as a Request For Proposal (RFP). The associated NAICS code is 334519, with a size standard of 500 employees. This project is full and open competition, unrestricted, no set-asides. Offerors must be actively registered in the System for Award Management in order to be eligible to receive a contract under this acquisition. A copy of this solicitation may be accessed by clicking on the FedConnect Link below, under "Additional Info." All requirements for preparation, submission, and receipt of Proposals contained in the solicitation shall be adhered to. The solicitation and any documents relating to this requirement will only be available through the internet at: www.fedbizopps.gov. There is a cover letter for the solicitation included in the attachments that will provide further guidance. Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring Fed Biz Opps for the release of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments. Contractors are encouraged to sign-up on the fedbizopps.gov website, for email notification of all actions relevant to this solicitation, and on the interested vendors list, also listed at the bottom of this announcement. A Pre-Proposal Conference for this RFP will be held at the National Earthquake Information Center, 1711 Illinois St, in Golden, CO on May 1, 2014 at 9 AM. Notify Christine Leonard by email at cleonard@usgs.gov of your intent to attend so we can make accommodations for all interested offerors. Questions relating to this Solicitation, to be answered at the Pre-Proposal Conference, shall be presented by e-mail to cleonard@usgs.gov not later than close of business 5:00 p.m. MST on April 29, 2014. Questions should be worded so as to avoid disclosing bid strategies or proprietary solutions. After the Pre-Proposal Conference, questions will again be accepted, presented by e-mail to cleonard@usgs.gov, until close of business 5:00 p.m. MST on May 30, 2014. The Government will evaluate the questions, and if needed, an Amendment will be issued with the questions received and their associated answers to all offerors being solicited. NOTE: it is the responsibility of interested parties to check for amendments to this requirement.
