- Description
- NASA/GRC has a requirement for (60 qty) Kuilte pressure transducers for 10x10 SWT CCE NASA/GRC intends to purchase the items from Kulite Semiconductor Products, INC. The equipment being purchased will be utilized during the upcoming CCE (Combined Cycle Engine) Inlet test Phase 3 at the 10x10 Supersonic Wind Tunnel. The requested units are direct replacements for the existing units used in the previous test. Using other transducers would require additional hardware modifications (machining, wiring, installation) as well as signal conditioning and data acquisition changes and testing. This would result in costs to the Government that would not be expected to be recovered through competition. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on May 5, 2014. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
