- 21 April 2014 This solicitation has been amended to reflect changes to the tent size dimensions, as well as changes to the offer due date which is now 28 April 2014 as indicated in the modification solicitation (SEE ATTACHED). ******************************************* 19 April 2014 A site visit was conducted on 17 April throughout the Normandy area for contracted support for Normandy 70 commemoration. Below are the questions and answers(Q&A) captured during the event for this solicitation. All other Q&As for services at the cemetery have been posted for that particular solicitation. The Q&A is also accessible in PDF. (SEE ATTACHMENT) Q1: Should the contractor use anchorage at the media center? A1: Yes. The field at the media center should be protected, and should be returned to its existing condition after the event. Q2: Is the contractor required to provide locking mechanism for the tents? A2: The contractor is not required to provide locking mechanism for the tents which the government is providing flooring for. The tents will have to be set up first, and then the government will install the flooring. Q3: Is there a requirement to provide lights inside the tents. A3: Yes, only for the tents at the cemetery, and the LSAs. Contractor has to provide lights kits that go inside the tent per the solicitation. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a non-personnel services contract to provide tents and tent furnishings to include furniture for Living Support Area(LSA), drop zone, airport of debarkation (APOD), and Omaha Beach Cemetery locations for ceremonies support.
