SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE Document Type: Sources Sought Solicitation number: VA101-14-I-0132 NAICS Code: 335999 Uninterruptaple Power System (UPS) and Battery Maintenance Service Descriptions: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED AS A RESULT OF THIS ACCOUNCEMENT, AND NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COST ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN REPONSE TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT OR FOLLOW-UP REQUEST. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 335999 All Other Miscellaneous Electrical Equipment and Component Manufacturing The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information & Technology (OIT) is seeking interest and capability statements from business that can provide Uninterruptable Power Supply (UPS) and Maintenance Services in Hines ITC, Hines, Illinois. The purpose of this resultant contract is to provide qualified labor, tools, materials, parts, travel and necessary supervision to provide preventative maintenance and repair of UPS and battery bank. The system consists of two redundant GE SG Series 2, 750 KVA, UPS units and two battery banks supporting each. There are 121 jars with 4 cells per jar. The batteries are EnerSys 4DX-17B. One minor and one major scheduled preventative maintenance services are required per year for the UPS. Four quarterly preventative maintenance services are required for the batteries. The UPS schedule maintenance should occur every six months. UPS and battery maintenance should be coordinated to occur on the same visit. Aside from regular maintenance visits, the contractor will also provide repair and emergency on call services. This contract will be awarded and administrated by Acquisition Business Services, Office of Acquisition Operations located in Washington, DC. The contract is anticipated to be a firm fixed-price with one year base and four (4) one (1) year options. A narrative statement of qualifications/capabilities should be submitted in response to this sources sought notice. Questions that must be addresses include: 1) How will your management structure support maintenance and repair of UPS and Battery Bank service located at the Hines ITC, Hines, Illinois? 2) A brief description of your company that includes job classifications and number employees in your company. 3) What is your firm's primary or secondary NAICS codes? 4) What experience does your firm have in UPS and Battery Maintenance Service? 5) List your socio-economic status (ex. large business, small business, service disable veteran owned, veteran owned, women owned, etc.) Interested Vendors concerns may submit a capabilities statement, which shall include the answer to the above questions. The capability statement should also include the following: (1) Name of business; (2) Contract information (address, telephone, facsimile, e-mail, website address); (3) DUNS number, business size and classification. Responses shall not exceed ten (10) pages. Responses shall be submitted via email to Raelynn.white@va.gov and should be received by 1 pm EST, Monday May 6, 2014.
