Description
The Bureau of Reclamation's Pacific Northwest Regional Office, has a requirement the removal and installation of a new roof at the Black Canyon Diversion Dam Powerplant. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238160 and the size standard is $14 million. The Davis-Bacon Act applies to this procurement. The current roof on the powerplant is showing signs of advancing age and will require increasingly costly maintenance if not replaced. Black Canyon Powerhouse Roof will require a new standing seam metal roof and the machine shop will require a new membrane roof. The new roof will require retaining the historic integrity of the building. We anticipate issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) approximately 15 May 2014 at www.fbo.gov., but all dates in this notice are subject to change. Any amendments applicable to the solicitation will be posted at the same site. To take advantage of business opportunities with the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) and the Department of the Interior (DOI) you must register your firm with the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. Reclamation intends to award one firm fixed-price contract. The estimated price range of the work is between $250,000.00 and $300,000.00. Any award will be based on the best value to the Government. This requirement is set-aside for small business and will be a negotiated procurement that will consider schedule, past performance, and price in the award decision; these evaluation factors are subject to change. Final evaluation factors will be defined in the solicitation.
