- Amendment 00002 PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: PROJECT TITLE: PROVIDE AND INSTALL NEW HVAC SYSTEM The project work site is located at the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Training Center (TRACEN), 1 Munro Avenue, Building #282, Cape May, New Jersey (Cape May county). Major work items include but are not limited to: 1. Provide and install four (4) total indoor ceiling recessed indoor split direct exchange heat pump units and one (1) wall mounted unit. Each unit shall be 208 volts single phase with a cooling capacity indicated on drawings. Each ceiling unit will have four way air flow and installed in locations indicated on drawings 2. Each area shall be controlled by a single thermostat located as indicated on drawings. 3. Interconnection of Thermostat Controller and the outdoor unit shall be with controller wire as indicated by manufacturer selected. 4. Provide and install one (2) 36,000 BTU variable capacity, heat pump condensing unit, and one (1) 18,000 BTU unit in locations indicated on drawings. The condensers shall have factory installed coatings and protections against salt air corrosion. Electrical power shall be 208, 1-phase, 60 hertz for the each unit. Period of Performance shall be 60 days after issuance of Notice to Proceed. All work shall be performed in accordance with the USCG specifications, drawings, provisions, clauses and the terms and conditions which will be provided when all Request for Quote (RFQ) solicitation document files become available for public download on or after 27 MARCH 2014 exclusively from the internet by accessing the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website at: http://www.fbo.gov. If solicitation files do not appear on that date, please check back daily. The date set for receipt of offers is approximately 1 MAY 2014. These dates are estimated and may change. NOTE: NO TELEPHONE, FACSIMILE, E-MAIL AND/OR WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR SOLICITATIONS OR POSTING STATUS SHALL BE ACCEPTED. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. Hard copies of the solicitation are not available. Interested parties are encouraged to register at the FBO website to be notified when information on this project becomes available. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be posted solely to the FBO website.
