- Draft Statement of Work The National Technical Information Service (NTIS), a primary operating unit of the Department of Commerce, leases and operates a modern, on-site 2,000 square foot data center at 5301 Shawnee Road, Alexandria, VA. The raised-floor data center presently houses approximately 230 servers running numerous applications for a variety of in-house enterprise systems, as well as applications for external clients. The data center's supporting infrastructure is composed of equipment such as Switch Gear, APC / MGE Ups System, Liebert Computer Room Air Conditioning (CRAC) units, Pre-Action Fire Protection System, 400kW Caterpillar Generator, APC/MGE Power Distribution Units/PDUs, C&D VRLA Batteries, and General Electrical Cabling. The NTIS has a continuing requirement for maintenance service for the above facility and items- in the past, this has been provided on a sole source basis from the facility owner, Cafferty Commercial Real Estate Services. NTIS is seeking to determine if there are parties both interested and capable of providing the services as required in the Draft Statement of Work. Interested parties should submit their response in either a.doc or.pdf compatible format via email. Submissions should be no more than five (5) pages plus cover sheet, and should speak to their specific capaiblities to meet the requirement. NTIS does not intend to respond to questions at this time. This RFI is for market research purposes only. It is neither a request for quotation/request for proposal, nor does it restrict the Government as to the ultimate acquisition approach. The Government will not reimburse respondents for any costs incurred in preparation of a response to this notice. This RFI is not a guarantee of a future solicitation, work, or contract.
