Attachment 3 - Wage Determinations RFP Attachment 2; Location Map for Noxious Weed Attachment: Fire Plan for Activities on National Forest System Lands The purpose of this project is to procure labor to conduct manual cutting and herbicide application activities to eradicate noxious weed infestations in wildland and roadside settings on the Cleveland National Forest. The Contractor will provide crew of five individuals and one supervisor to conduct eradication activities. The crew will be on-call to work the amount of days ordered under the contract over a two year period. Removal efforts will primarily involve cutting stems of species like tamarisk and spanish broom and application of herbicides to cut surfaces (cut stump applications). Work may also involve hand pulling annual weed species, weed wrenching and foliar application of herbicide of resprouts, follow up foliar spraying of previously treated areas to target resprouting plants. Cutting may involve the use of chainsaws or hand tools. Herbicide applications will be conducted using backpack sprayers. The work may occur in San Diego, Riverside and Orange Counties on the National Forest System Lands in the Cleveland National Forest. Herbicides will only be used in areas where Forest Service has completed the proper environmental analysis for their use. Some work may occur in remote locations requiring substantial hiking. All removal efforts will be recorded with a GPS and field notes. Herbicide use longs detailing daily chemical applications will be required to be provided to the US Forest Service.

Address: Clevelnad National Forest: Primary locations for work include, but not limited to portions of the Forest along Ortega Highway in Orange and Riverside Countries. And tamarisk in two wilderness ares in San Diego Couinty and in areas near the Upper San Diego River. Figure 1 shows the location of likely tamarisk treatments in along Pine Creek on the Descanso Ranger District, Arroyo Seco Creek on the Palomar Ranger District and likely Spanish Broom Treatments on the Trabuco Ranger District. Other infestations and project areas within the Cleveland National Forest may be treated under this contract., United States
