- The purpose of this market survey is to identify to the Government potential sources interested in this procurement. The CECOM Software Engineering Center (SEC) is responsible for providing life cycle software support for Mission Critical Defense Systems (MCDSs). The goals of the SEC are to: 1) establish/maintain Post Production Software Support (PPSS) for fielded systems, and 2) provide software engineering support for systems both deployed and under upgrade. The contractor shall support the PPSS for the MD-1366/U Enhanced Bandwidth Efficient Modem (EBEM).This contract will establish the requirements for an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a two (2) year ordering period, for the acquisition of PPSS. This PPSS support will consist primarily of the correction of software defects /deficiencies /errors, and the implementation of software refinements and enhancements, including information assurance, to the operational and support software for EBEM. In addition, PPSS support will include software facilities support, contractor field service support, formal review requirements, required deliverables, travel requirements, and Information Assurance guidance. The EBEM design, source code, technical data, and software development facility test bed were developed by, and are proprietary to, ViaSat, Inc. The Government does not possess a Technical Date Package (TDP) for the EBEM. The estimated cost of this effort is approximately $2.9M and requires approximately five (5) man years of support. The Army does not anticipate holding interchange meetings with potential offerors. NOTE: This is a request for information only and all information received will be for planning purposes only. The CECOM Acquisition Center does not intend to award a contract on the basis of your responses nor otherwise pay for the preparation of any information presented or the use of any such information. All proprietary information should be marked as such. Responses indicating interest in this procurement as a prime or subcontractor are also requested.
