- AGENCY: VETERANS HEALTH ADMINISTRATION - VISN 3 NOTICE TYPE: Pre-Solicitation SYNOPSIS: THIS PRESOLICITATION NOTICE IS IN REFERENCE TO VA243-14-I-0339, POSTED ON 1-10-2014 ON FBO. A FORMAL SOLICITATION DOCUMENT WILL BE POSTED DIRECTLY ON FBO. THIS IS A 100% TOTAL SMALL-BUSINESS SET ASIDE FOR THIS PROCUREMENT. Description PLEASE SEE ATTACHED SOLICITATION DOCUMENT FOR FULL DETAILS OF REQUIREMENTS. Provide the U.S. Department of Veteran's Affairs, VISN 3, with linen transportation services at the VA Textile Care Facility in St. Albans, Queens, New York. The vendor shall provide transportation, to include drivers, to pick up and deliver clean linen and soiled linen to and from the VA textile care facility at St. Albans to various locations including New Jersey and upstate New York. Deliveries must be made between 2:00 a.m. - 7.00 a.m. on the scheduled week days to each facility throughout the week, including all holidays, and an empty trailer must be left at all locations to be used for soiled linen storage. The vendor will be required to make emergency deliveries to all facilities within three hours of notification including 3rd shift hours. Driver and tractor trailers must be available during each work day (7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.) at the St. Albans laundry to move around trailers in and out of the docks for loading purposes and for delivery of linen to any delivery points as required. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (via E-mail) referencing the requirement & RFP# in accordance with instructions detailed in attached solicitation document.
