- Description
- The US Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, plans to solicit for a construction contract for Maintenance Dredging at Detroit River, Michigan. The work consists of, but is not limited to, the following: Mobilize dredge to Lake Erie, MI. and dredge the areas specified by the Government. Discharge of water from the overflow weir of Cell #3 at Pt. Mouillee CDF to the Detroit River shall be maintained by the Contractor during dredging activities. Water samples will be collected at the overflow weir, stored and analyzed by the Government. Additionally, the Contractor shall monitor discharges from the Cell #3 to verify that they do not have any unnatural or unusual characteristics. Final pay yardage will be determined by prior to dredging soundings and after dredging construction surveys. The material within the required dredging prism consists primarily of material that has shoaled since the last time the area was dredged. General Information: This project is set aside for small businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this requirement is 237990. The small business size standard for this requirement is $25.5 million. The estimated cost of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000 The solicitation is expected to be available in May 2014. A contract award is expected in July 2014.
