- This work effort is being solicited for all certified small business contractors under NAICS code 238220 with a size standard of $14.0M. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic is seeking all eligible service disabled veteran owned small business firms capable of completing the required Building 20 Remove Furnace at the Philadelphia Naval Business Center, Philadelphia, Pa.; RFP# N40085-14-Q-6725. Estimated contract value: Between $100,000 and $250,000. The successful Contractor will be required to submit the appropriate bonding information at time of award. The acquisition will be processed using procedures in accordance with FAR part 13. Description of Work: The project objective is for the demolition and removal remove Heat-Treating Furnace FMF-9 in Building 20. The work includes removal of furnace, removal of non-friable asbestos type gaskets, paint with lead and resulting rubbish and debris. Rubbish and debris shall be removed from Government property daily, unless otherwise directed, to avoid accumulation at the demolition site. Materials that cannot be removed daily shall be stored in areas specified by the Contracting Officer. All work shall be performed in accordance with EM 385-1-1, Section 23, Demolition, and Section 6, Hazardous or Toxic Agents and Environments and other applicable sections. Contractor shall comply with all federal, state and local regulations This project has an expected Period of Performance of 75 calendar days after the date of Contract Award. Solicitation Info: This will be a firm fixed price Construction type contract. All documents will be in the Adobe Acrobat PDF file format via the internet. Contractors are encouraged to register for the solicitation when downloading from the Navy Exchange Commerce Online (NECO) website. Only registered contractors will be notified by e-mail when amendments to the solicitation are issued.
