- FOR MORE INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT: Stephen Chiu and Stanley Chan, Electronics Engineer, (443) 395-6348 /6368 Stephen.Chiu@us.army.mil and Stanley.U.Chan@us.army.mil This is a market survey to locate additional sources for NSN 5895-01-609-4139 Satellite Transceiver MT-2012RSI. The MT-2012 Satellite Transceiver is a components of AN/UYQ-90A(V)2, the Joint Capabilities Release-Logistics (JCR-LOG) Military Rugged Tablet (MRT) Mobile Unit System. The MT-2012 Satellite Transceiver utilizes the Joint Capabilities Release (JCR) network architecture to communicate with other Force XXI Battle Command Brigade-and-Below -Blue Force Tracking (FBCB2-BFT), MTS and Army Battle Command Communications Systems (ABCS) systems. The MT-2012 Satellite Transceiver is a half duplex L-Band satellite transceiver which establishes contact with the Satellite and relays data to and from the JCR network. The MT-2012 Satellite Transceiver has an embedded Global Positioning System (GPS) which provides location and elevation data for the JCR-LOG MRT Mobile Unit. The MT-2012 also has an embedded Selective Availability Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) which is used by military Global Positioning System receivers to allow decryption of precision GPS coordinates along with a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) interrogator which provides Total Asset Visibility (TAV) by interrogating RFID tags attached to cargo containers and relaying logistical data such as intrusion, temperature, and humidity unacceptable ranges alerts to other systems over the satellite link. The current sources of this item is Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation, CAGE Code 04NA3. This item is only defined by Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation part numbers and National Stock Numbers. Detail technical data such as engineering drawings, specifications, and acceptance test procedures for the manufacture or acceptance of this item, is NOT AVAILABLE from the Army. Interested sources are capable of furnishing this item must send a response describing in detail their ability meeting the Government requirements. Response shall be submitting in writing through email to U.S. ARMY CECOM, ATTN: RDER-PRC-TR (Stephen Chiu and Stanley Chan) at Stephen.Chiu@us.army.mil and Stanley.U.Chan@us.army.mil. The response MUST include documentation, such as test results, test procedures for this item to demonstrate the interested sources' capability of supplying this item, and copy of purchasing order if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with a unit that will be physically and functionally interchangeable and interoperable with the existing AN/UPQ-90A(V)2 mobile unit. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army and that it will be delivered on time. Pertinent information received from this market survey will be evaluated by the Government technical personnel for the purpose of planning. The Government will not reimburse interested sources or responders to this notice for any information received and any costs incurred in responding, or for subsequent exchanges of information. Information submitted does not constitute a proposal and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, but will be considered an exchange of capabilities and ideas. Responses to this notice must be submitted no later than close of business May 09, 2014.
