Description
This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a Request for Quotation (RFQ); it is strictly a Request for Information (RFI) as defined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 15.201(e). NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS. This RFI is for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a RFP or as an obligation on the part of the Government for follow-on acquisition. Responses to this notice are not offers and will not be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. All information received in response to this RFI that is marked as proprietary will be handled accordingly. Require the following: The purpose of the tables is to conduct optics-related experiments in a predictable, repeatable environment. To accomplish this, the tables must meet the following criteria: a. Must be 12' long and at least 4' wide. The thickness should be a minimum of 12 quote mark (more is better). b. Must utilize W' -20 threaded holes with 1 quote mark on center separation. Holes should be sealed to prevent damage from liquid spills. c. Must have active vibration isolation legs requiring no more than 90-psi of compressed air. Legs should not be fluid based. Total height of the table plus legs should be a comfortable working height of about 36 quote mark. Prefer only four legs per table. d. Tabletop should be ferrous, allowing use of magnetic mounts. e. Tables will be installed in the basement of Building 753. Contract should include shipping and rigging required for installation. Movement of other tables may be necessary. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All responsible parties that feel they can provide this service should forward their capabilities in writing to Joseph.r.Bloss@us.army.mil. Please indicate your business size (Small, Large etc...) in your responses. This notice will close on Wednesday, April 30,2014 by 1600 EDT). Please note that this is not a solicitation but a sources sought only..
