- Description
- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order using simplified acquisition procedures to Aegis Power Systems, Inc, 805 Greenlawn Cemetery Road, Murphy, NC 28906-9127 for twelve (12) power supplies P/N VME450A-03-103 used in the assembly of the Landing Craft Air Cushion Control and Alarm Monitoring System (CAMS). This purchase is unsuitable for full and open competition for the following reasons. The items being purchased were specifically tested and evaluated against the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) technical requirements as provided on the LCAC C4N System Baseline Configuration 3 (SBC3) product specification during the product's initial prototyping and evaluation phase. No other source for these items currently exists. Aegis Power Systems, Inc is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for the current power supplies used by the fleet. Developing another source for these items would be cost and schedule prohibitive. Delivery will be FOB Destination to the Receiving Office, Naval Support Activity Panama City, 110 Vernon Ave., Panama City, FL 32407 within twelve (12) weeks after award. NAICS 335999. Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. FSC 2090. The Department of Defense will no longer award contracts to contractors not registered in the SAM Database.
